Jhang is essentially an agricultural district. A large segment of population is dependent on the cultivation of land. Revenue Department adopted the following strategy to increase the functioning capacity of the officers / officials enhancing the quality of the service delivery to the people of district. The strategy comprises of the below mentioned functions:

• Strengthening the internal accountability mechanism to ensure professional integrity
• Increasing the departmental resources and capacity
• Improvement in departmental systems and processes
• Strengthening communication, monitoring and evaluation mechanisms
• Transparency and responsiveness
• Timely service delivery
• Efficient land record management
• Effective support role in making arrangements for holding of general and local bodies elections, transportation of polling staff, provision of administrative facilities to election authority / returning officers and preparation of polling schemes
• Coordination and assistance on VVIPs / VIPs visit of the district on behalf of district government
• Setting up of Ramzan bazaars during Ramzan-ul-Mubarak
• Arrangements for distribution of “Atta” (wheat) as required by the provincial government under “Chief Minister’s Sasta Atta Scheme”
• Implementation of one window operation for Zarai Tarqiati bank loans
• Improvement brick lining of water courses
